The boys are back in town to compete for the Sword of Honour. Authentic medieval jousting in the heart of the city – see it live!

Highlights include:

  • Four-day international tournament
  • ‘Make and take’ arts and crafts activities
  • Falconry display
  • Have-a-go sword fighting
  • Action-packed combat displays


The tournament is held over 4 days, with 2 jousts each day at 12.15pm and 2.45pm in the Tiltyard next to the Museum.

Heats 12.15pm and 2.45pm Friday 2 April – Sunday 4 April
Semi-finals 12.15pm Monday 5 April
Grand Final 2.45pm Monday 5 April


Joust tickets can be purchased on the day or online through our retail website. Other activities may also carry a small charge.
