Kobudo

Kobudo is a traditional weapons martial art from Okinawa (Japan), in which students learn to use the Bo (Staff), Sai, Tunkuwa (Tonfa) and Nunchaku.

One of the oldest martial arts systems in existence Kobudo is taught according to the disciplines and principles of the masters from the Ryukyu Islands.

Students train in a black and white ‘Gi’ and weapons for beginners are provided.

Classes are taught by Sensei Michael Clayton.

Time

The club meets every meets Tuesday and Sunday.

INDIAN ARMS AND ARMOUR: PHYSICAL, SPIRITUAL AND MYTHOLOGICAL

This special seminar, with Natasha Bennett, Acting Curator (Oriental Collections), will allow delegates to admire and examine weaponry and armour from India at close quarters.
