Royal Armouries Museum to host one-day event for museum and archive education professionals - Thursday, 15 April 2010
Working together
The Royal Armouries Museum hosts a one-day event on May 6 for museum and archive education professionals.
Led by speakers from three different Initial Teacher Training (ITT) providers, the free event also examines the ways in which ITT Institutions and museums and archives have worked together.
The varied programme includes an opportunity to look closely at three different partnership models, from Leeds Metropolitan University, York St John University and Trinity College University with opportunities to explore the ways in which these models have been built, and how these could be further developed.
Highlights include an overview of the new Masters in Education programme and workshops, led by museum professionals to consider how ITT and museums and archives can best work together to support trainee teachers.
Places are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment by emailing ite@mla.gov.uk
