The Romans
What the Romans Did for Us is an excellent insight to the Invasion of Britain. Our colourful and vibrant recreated conflicts between the Britons and the Romans spark great enthusiasm for the subject – and you can dress up as Romans, too!
Find out how heavy their armour was and how far a legionnaire could throw his spear and you can see the actual catapult built and used in the blockbuster film Gladiator!
- Each booking is for a half day (finish at 12.00pm) or whole day (finish at 2.00pm). Groups usually arrive at 10am though this can be negotiated at the time of booking. The cost is £2.00 per pupil.
- There can be up to 4 sessions throughout the day, each lasting between 30 – 60 minutes depending on the age and ability of the pupils.
- Sessions are suitable for groups of 30 and any group larger than 30 will be split into smaller groups and will work their way around every session.
- We have enjoyed receiving groups of up-to 140 pupils in one day.
