Detail from _Charge of the Heavy Cavalry Brigade_

Flashman Seminar

As a tribute to the author, George MacDonald Fraser, who died earlier this year, this seminar follows the career of Sir Harry Flashman VC.

Flashman was an unwilling participant in the charge of the Light Brigade, escaped from the Cawnpore massacre, and was the sole survivor of Custer’s last stand. This seminar examines the weapons he used, and those of his enemies.

Did you know?

The whole truth

The phrase "Lock, stock and barrel" refers to something in its entirety, the whole thing – in the same way that a complete gun has a lock, a stock and a barrel.
