Projects
The Royal Armouries has a number of programmes supporting our vision to “help make Britain a safe place”.
The most high profile is NTK – No to Knives. A national campaign where our aim to get one million children to make a “Pledge Against the Edge”.
We are also promoting Flashpoint and Leap – Confronting Conflict, as part of our commitment to supporting conflict resolution training in schools.
Another one of our projects, which seems a bit more traditional for a museum of arms and armour, is the Memories Project.
We are asking ex-servicemen and women to share their stories with us, of their experiences and memories of their time serving their country and relating them to some of our objects in the collection. In a very obvious way they have done their bit in “making Britain a safer place”.
