Studies in Depth: Modern World
Few organisations can offer the range of objects and resources we have available for students of the Modern World.
- We have a ‘Hands On’ approach with original and replica artefacts
- Our handling collection is wide ranging, engaging and safe to handle – be it an 18lb shell or an SMLE.
- We use a variety of visual and archival sources from the period including photographs, diaries, official reports and letters
- We examine the changing nature of society between 1914 and 1945 and look at the home front in some detail.
- These specially constructed Modern World sessions focus in depth on the First and Second World Wars or can be combined for an overview of the key changes 1914-1945.
- Includes a twenty minute presentation, using contemporary images, followed by an interactive handling experience with original and replica objects.
