Language and Literacy

We have developed a series of Hands-On interactive sessions in the Education Centre to complement Language and Literacy.

• Uses replica and original objects from our handling collection
• Inspires creative writing, poetry or factual reports
• Explores traditional myths, legends, folktales

Beowulf the Dragon Slayer

• Anglo-Saxon heroic society as revealed through Beowulf’s story and his adventures with dragons.

Sir Gawain and the Green Knight

• Examine the changing images of King Arthur and his knights.

Going on a Journey

• Focuses on body Protection thinking about Kings, princesses and others on magical and mythical adventures that need to protect themselves.

To Book

• All sessions last 45 minutes, with a maximum number of 32 students.
• Our sessions are £3 per student, with one adult free per ten students.
