Victorian Leeds was home to Louise Le Prince a pioneer of early film. This 90 minute cross-curricular session explores the Victorian world through armours, costumes and toys.
- Discover how life changed during the reign of Queen Victoria.
- Check out socks for soldiers serving in the Crimea and clogs for workers in the local textile factories.
- Get to grips with creating images for zoetropes and create light sensitive photographs.
This session will support your study of the Victorians. After your visit to the museum why not explore the Victorian grandeur of Leeds? Take a stroll along the towpath to the heart of the city; it’s only 10 minutes away.
