Art, Design, Textiles & Fashion for creative students at BTEC, AS/A2 Level
The museum in Leeds offers a range of innovative and creative educational workshops for students of art and design. This multicultural collection can provide inspiration for a huge range of topics, themes and processes to be researched and re-interpreted.

- Uses a range of media including: textiles, printmaking, metal & wire work, card, collage and clay.

Armoured Animals
Natural/unnatural.
Empire!
The concept of Empire and objects as a source of evidence for understanding.
Corsetry
Gender, sexuality, prestige and power laid bare in fashion, costume, portraiture, armour & clothing.
Ethical Design?
The transatlantic slave trade, 18th century design and the contemporary fashion trade.
Headdresses
Exploration of the structure, shape and form of headwear from a variety of global cultures and traditions, exploring personal identity, self-representation and self-expression.
The collection contains not only arms and armour from across the globe but additionally within the education centre contemporary art, protest banners, clothing, rare manuscripts & costumes can be exclusively accessed.
To Book
All sessions last 90 minutes, for a minimum number of 15 students.
Our sessions are £5 per student, with one adult free per ten students.
