The art studio at Royal Armouries Museum Leeds Edcuation Centre

Art and Design

A collection is always far more than an assemblage of artefacts; it provides a window to explore the work of artists from the past, their skills, expertise and desires.

Here at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds our collection provides a challenging environment for artists to explore the wider issues of contemporary society through study, creativity and discussion.

A specialist art handling collection is available for students to use, including vintage and antique military uniforms, civilian fashions and ephemera.

All sessions include objects from our handling collection and are accessible to all ages and abilities.
