Post 16 Students
The Royal Armouries has a range of introductory and support sessions for post-16 students of History, Leisure & Tourism, Marketing to Urban re-generation, Archaeology, Engineering, Science, Art, Design and Technology.
The Education Centres at Fort Nelson and Leeds offer taught seminars, combining a slide lecture or PowerPoint presentation with first hand study of original and replica artifacts.
- Fort Nelson can arrange in-depth study sessions on most topics by prior arrangement. The Royal Armouries at Fort Nelson houses the national collection of artillery, which includes large guns from the medieval period up to the 20th century. Fort Nelson is also a restored Victorian fort.
- Leeds offers AS/A2 sessions on Leisure and Tourism, History, English, and Art and Design. The Royal Armouries in Leeds houses the Medieval, Tudor, Civil War and Modern collections, in addition to the Japanese, Chinese and Indian collections.
