Creative Copper

We use objects from our collection as inspiration for this session as we look at the real science behind the art of armour decoration.

Whether it’s the chemical reactions behind etching or physical properties such as malleability, students can release their creativity scientifically on copper.

This session is especially suitable for Key Stage 3, by considering the chemical reactions involved and by introducing the properties of metals.
