Getting Hitched To Henry

Join in the Westminster Tournament in 1511 and celebrate the birth of a baby with King Henry VIII and Katherine of Aragon. Students will take part in printing and copper embossing to explore Tudor symbols.

Animals in Armour

In this engaging session using original armours, explore how Tudor knights protected themselves. Discover the surprising comparisons between knights’ armours and those of the natural world. This lively session explores the human form, the natural world, diversity and identity. Students will create 3-D armours using salt dough.

Explore the hidden histories of piracy from the age of the Tudors. Discover how Elizabeth I controlled her privateers and how they plied their trade around the globe. Design and print pirate flags inspired by the visual language of the Tudors.
