Patterns in art & design from across the world are explored through printing, textiles, weaving and metalwork. The Museum’s collection is linked to famous artists and artistic movements through the ages.

Discover the reality behind this classic Japanese folktale. Enter the world of the Samurai, with armours, costumes and artefacts. Uncover the everyday lives of people at the court of the Shogunate during the 16th century.
Islamic Design: Copper, Colours and Contours.
Explore the principles & ethics of Islamic design through the stimulus of our stunning armours from the Mughal court – including an armoured elephant! Create both individual and group works of art in metal & fabric. This session is designed to support your study of RE.
