Discover the reality behind this classic Japanese folktale. Enter the world of the Samurai, with armours, costumes and artefacts. Uncover the everyday lives of people at the court of the Shogunate during the 16th century.

Islamic Design: Copper, Colours and Contours.

Explore the principles & ethics of Islamic design through the stimulus of our stunning armours from the Mughal court – including an armoured elephant! Create both individual and group works of art in metal & fabric. This session is designed to support your study of RE.

Did you know?

World's biggest bore!

The largest bore gun ever built, fired a 3 feet diameter cast iron ball weighing around 1 tonne, containing 215kg (400lbs) of gunpowder to a range of 2.4 kilometres (1.5 miles). It was designed by Robert Mallett and is on display at Fort Nelson.
