- Examine the Victorian & Edwardian idea of womanhood by analysing original & replica clothing, newspapers and ephemera.
- Explore the concepts of power and those who were excluded from it.
- Examine the Victorian idea of womanhood using original & replica clothing, newspapers and emphemeria.
- Understand the reality of the economic, legal and political status for workers in factories and nursing.
- Critique the different approaches utilised by the suffragettes when campaigning – peaceful and non-peaceful.
- Analyse attitudes about the role of women during Britain during the First World War and its impact on attitudes on the female franchise.
