Key Stage 2 - Tudors: Tournament

Tudors: Tournament

Discover the splendour and pageantry of the Tournament during the reign of one of England’s most famous kings – Henry VIII.

By working with Royal Armouries’ handling collection, pupils are transported back to the Field of Cloth of Gold Tournament. They will learn about the lives of the jousters – how they competed, the armour they wore, plus the sights and intrigues of the most spectacular sporting event of the Tudor age.

During the Discover lesson, pupils will be able to design and decorate a piece of copper, using an embossing technique and take their creations back to school.
