Iconic weapons from the longbow to the Luger

Wheellock pistol

Saturday 16 October

Occasionally weapons have been developed which change the nature of warfare. This seminar examines the impact of some of these weapons from the English longbow, used to such devastating effect during the Hundred Years War, to the wheellock, the first truly ‘mechanical’ firearm to the self-loading pistol and machine gun.

This seminar examines in depth what our curators consider to be some of the most influential weapons ever made.
