Explore the lives of two brothers from a local Yorkshire family, who fought and died in these campaigns.

After losing their brother Captain William Dawson, a naval hero, in 1811 in the East Indies, Henry and Charles Dawson continued to do their duty for crown and country in the 52nd Foot. Henry suffered mortal wounds at St Menios, in 1812, and Charles died at Chantilly from wounds received at Badajoz and Waterloo in 1815.
