Key Stage 3 - First World War: Study Day
Follow the experiences of a ‘Tommy’ from his training at Fort Nelson to the trenches of the Front Line.
Through historical records and our handling collection students will gain an insight into an ordinary soldier’s life from his initial training at Fort Nelson to the mechanised nature of the weaponry he faced on the Front Line.
Students will have the unique opportunity to handle an extensive collection of original First World War artefacts and experience an authentic barrack room in its original situation.
