For the Fallen

In 2008 throughout the month of November, Royal Armouries Museum staff read aloud the names of every man killed from Leeds in the First World War.

This year we respectfully remember those members of Leeds citizenry who gave their lives during the Second World War (1939-1945).

The Roll of Honour has been assembled with the kind assistance of the Leeds City Library Local History Department and includes approximately 2,500 names.

Readings will last 15 minutes and take place in the Hall of Steel between 1.30 pm and 1.45 pm every day.
