BIG GUN DISPLAYS

Experience the power and might of the big guns, in a series of free gun-firing demonstrations – featuring artillery from around the globe.

At 12 noon and 2pm on the following dates

• Sunday 25 November – 32 pounder breechloader

• Sunday 20 January – 13-inch mortar breechloader

• Sunday 10 February – 32-pounder breechloader

• Sunday 17 March – 64-pounder saluting gun

All of these guns would have made up part of the original Fort armaments.

Firings will be performed by a uniformed detachment from the Portsdown Artillery Volunteers.
