The Leeds Waterfront Festival features live music, local bands, arts and dance, on-the-water fun, canal boats, boat trips and much more, all at the coolest waterfront venues in Granary Wharf, Brewery Wharf, Clarence Dock and Thwaite Mills Watermill. There is something for everyone to enjoy!

Dragon Boat Racing

30 June 10am – 4pm

See some of Leeds’ biggest employers take to the water in their Dragon Boats to raise money for Leeds-based community initiatives. The huge 40ft-long dragon boats, complete with 16 paddlers and a drummer all in amazing echnicolor fancy dress, will be racing at Clarence Dock.

Races take place on Saturday 30 June between 10am and 4pm with over 20 teams competing.

Armed Forces Day Parade

30 June, 2pm – 2.30pm

To mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee there will be a Veterans’ parade and service on Royal Armouries Square, organized by Leeds Community Foundation.

The parade, on Saturday 30 June, will begin at 2pm outside Tesco, Clarence Dock.
A short service, led by the Archdeacon of Leeds, will take place on Armouries Square in front of the Museum.

There will also be a large display of police vehicles on the Square, as well as a variety of children’s activities.

Regimental bands will be playing on the stage in front of the Museum throughout the day.
